The National Holocaust Monument is a solemn memorial located near the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa, dedicated to the millions of victims of the Holocaust. Designed by architect Daniel Libeskind, the monument features six triangular concrete walls that form a Star of David shape, symbolizing the six million Jewish lives lost. Visitors walk through a narrow, sloping passageway that evokes the experience of persecution, leading to a central courtyard with a eternal flame. The walls are etched with survivor testimonies, and the monument offers a contemplative space for reflection and remembrance.
