Morden Colliery Historic Provincial Park protects the remnants of a once-thriving coal mine that operated from 1912 to 1916. The centerpiece is the massive concrete tipple (loading structure), which still stands as a striking industrial relic. Visitors can follow a short interpretive trail with signs explaining the mining process and the lives of the workers. The park also offers views of the surrounding forest and coastline. Though the mine is long closed, the site provides a tangible connection to the region's industrial heritage. It's a quiet, contemplative place with picnic tables and a small parking area.
