St. John's Anglican Church is a jewel of Carpenter Gothic architecture, built entirely of wood in 1754. As a National Historic Site, it is one of the oldest surviving wooden churches in North America. Inside, the hand-carved reredos and ornate pulpit reflect the craftsmanship of early settlers. The church's vibrant red exterior and pointed-arch windows make it a photographer's delight. Visitors can attend services or join a guided tour to learn about its role in Lunenburg's religious and community life.
