Dundas Valley Conservation Area is a 1,200-hectare natural haven just west of Hamilton, known for its lush Carolinian forest, rolling hills, and rich biodiversity. The trail network includes the popular Main Loop and the Hermitage Trail, which passes the ruins of a historic estate. Visitors can hike, mountain bike, or cross-country ski, and the valley's spring wildflowers and autumn colours are spectacular. The conservation area also features a visitor centre with educational exhibits about the local ecology and history.
