Mount Rundle is one of Banff's most recognizable landmarks, a long, steep ridge that dominates the skyline south of town. The mountain is a popular destination for experienced hikers and climbers. The East End of Rundle (EEOR) hike is a strenuous scramble with exposed sections, rewarding climbers with views of the Bow Valley and Spray Lakes. The mountain's sheer face also offers classic multi-pitch rock climbs. For most visitors, the best way to appreciate Mount Rundle is from the Banff Avenue viewpoint or Vermilion Lakes.
