The Silver Pagoda, officially Wat Preah Keo Morokat, sits inside the Royal Palace compound in Phnom Penh. Its name comes from the floor covered with more than 5,000 silver tiles, though most are now protected by carpet. The pagoda houses a life-sized Emerald Buddha statue made of Baccarat crystal, as well as a solid gold Buddha studded with diamonds. Visitors can admire the intricate murals depicting scenes from the Reamker and the collection of royal treasures on display. The serene atmosphere contrasts with the bustling city outside.
