Tuol Ta Aek, a commune in Battambang Province, is famous for the Battambang Bat Caves, a must-see natural phenomenon. Located about 15 kilometers southwest of Battambang city, the caves are nestled in a limestone mountain. Each evening around sunset, millions of bats stream out of the cave in a continuous, swirling column, creating an awe-inspiring sight against the darkening sky. Visitors typically gather at the base of the mountain to watch the exodus, which can last up to 30 minutes. The experience is both educational and mesmerizing, offering a unique connection to Cambodia's wildlife.
