Battambang railway station, built during the French colonial period, is a charming yellow-and-white structure that reflects the city's architectural heritage. While passenger train services are limited, the station is best known as the departure point for the bamboo train, or 'norry', a makeshift rail vehicle made of bamboo and metal wheels. Visitors can ride the bamboo train along the tracks through rural landscapes, passing villages and rice paddies. The station itself, with its old-fashioned ticket booth and platform, offers a nostalgic glimpse into Cambodia's railway history.
