St. Cyricus Island, connected to Sozopol's old town by a narrow causeway, is an active archaeological site and religious landmark. The island features the restored Monastery of St. Cyricus and St. Julitta, originally built in the 14th century, along with ruins of a Thracian settlement, an ancient Greek temple, and early Christian basilicas. Visitors can walk among the excavations, see the monastery's stone walls and fresco fragments, and enjoy panoramic views of the Black Sea and Sozopol's coastline.
