The Temple of Cybele in Balchik is a remarkable ancient Roman religious site, discovered in 2007 during construction work. Dating back to the 3rd century AD, it is one of the best-preserved temples dedicated to the Phrygian mother goddess Cybele in the Balkans. The temple features a marble altar and reliefs depicting Cybele flanked by lions, along with inscriptions and architectural fragments. Visitors can view the excavated remains, including the cella and portico, and learn about the cult of Cybele through informative panels.
