The Church of Saint Peter of the Clergymen (Igreja de São Pedro dos Clérigos) is a striking example of Brazilian baroque architecture. Built in the 18th century for the Brotherhood of Clergymen, its facade features intricate stonework, while the interior dazzles with blue-and-white Portuguese azulejo tiles, gilded carvings, and a majestic altar. Visitors can appreciate the craftsmanship and the serene atmosphere, often less crowded than other historic churches in the area.
Don't miss
