The Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden is a lush 140-hectare sanctuary founded in 1808, home to more than 6,000 plant species. Visitors can stroll beneath the iconic avenue of imperial palms, explore greenhouses filled with orchids and bromeliads, and discover the Japanese Garden and sensory garden.
