Lake Paranoá is a vast artificial reservoir created in the 1950s to increase humidity and provide recreation for Brasília's residents. Today, it is a hub for outdoor activities, with several beaches, sailing clubs, and waterfront restaurants. Visitors can swim at the popular Praia do Cerrado, rent kayaks or stand-up paddleboards, or simply stroll along the shoreline promenades. The lake's calm waters reflect the city's iconic buildings, making it a peaceful escape from the urban bustle.
