The Juscelino Kubitschek Bridge, often called the JK Bridge, is an iconic landmark in Brasília, designed by architect Alexandre Chan and structural engineer Mário Vila Verde. Its three sweeping arches create a dramatic silhouette against the sky, reflecting in the waters of Lake Paranoá. Visitors can walk or cycle across the bridge, enjoying panoramic views of the lake and the city's modernist skyline. The bridge is especially photogenic at sunset when the arches glow in golden light.
Don't miss
- Walk or cycle across the bridge for unobstructed views of Lake Paranoá and Brasília's skyline.
- Photograph the bridge at sunset when the arches are illuminated by warm light.
- Observe the unique asymmetric arch design, a hallmark of Brazilian modernist architecture.
