Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque is the largest historical mosque in Bosnia and Herzegovina, constructed in 1531 under the patronage of Gazi Husrev-beg, an Ottoman governor. Its elegant domes, minaret, and courtyard exemplify classical Ottoman design. Inside, visitors admire intricate calligraphy, colorful carpets, and a peaceful ambiance. The mosque complex includes a madrasa, library, and clock tower, reflecting its role as a religious and educational center. Non-Muslims can enter outside prayer times, respecting dress codes and silence.
