Prenj is a dramatic mountain range in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, often called the 'pyramid of the Dinaric Alps' for its sharp, rocky peaks. The range is a paradise for hikers and climbers, with trails that wind through alpine meadows, past glacial lakes, and up to summits exceeding 2,000 meters. The rugged terrain offers a true wilderness experience, far from crowded tourist routes. Visitors can expect stunning views of the Neretva River valley and surrounding mountains, with opportunities for multi-day treks and bivouacking. The area is also rich in biodiversity, with rare plant species and wildlife like bears and wolves.
