Karađoz Bey Mosque, built in 1557 by the Ottoman architect Sinan, is one of Mostar's most important Islamic landmarks. The mosque features a large dome, a slender minaret, and a peaceful courtyard with a fountain for ablutions. Inside, intricate floral and geometric motifs adorn the walls, and the mihrab (prayer niche) is decorated with fine calligraphy. Visitors can climb the minaret for panoramic views of Mostar's Old Town and the Neretva River. The mosque remains an active place of worship, welcoming respectful visitors outside prayer times.
