Pari Urqu is a low hill on the outskirts of Potosí that holds the remains of a pre-Inca settlement, likely built by the Qaraqara people. The site features stone foundations of circular and rectangular buildings, as well as terraces that once supported agriculture. A short but steep climb rewards visitors with panoramic vistas of the entire city of Potosí, the iconic Cerro Rico mountain, and the vast altiplano. The ruins are less visited than other attractions, offering a quiet spot to reflect on the region's ancient history.
