Jeanneke Pis is one of Brussels' quirkiest little curiosities, a small bronze fountain-statue of a young girl squatting and, like her far more famous counterpart Manneken Pis, relieving herself. Created in the 1980s as a cheeky female companion to the centuries-old Manneken Pis, she's tucked behind an iron grille at the end of a narrow cul-de-sac, the Impasse de la Fidélité, just off the bustling Rue des Bouchers restaurant street. She's much less known and less visited than Manneken Pis, which is part of her charm, finding her feels like discovering a local secret.

The little dead-end alley she sits in is right beside the legendary Delirium Café (famous for its enormous beer menu), so the two make an easy pair. It's a free, fun, two-minute novelty stop rather than a major sight, snap a photo, then enjoy the surrounding lanes and bars. A good addition to the trio of Brussels' 'peeing statues' (along with Manneken Pis and the dog, Zinneke Pis).
