Hail Haor Wildlife Sanctuary is a sprawling freshwater wetland covering about 18 square kilometers in the floodplains of Moulvibazar. During the monsoon, it becomes a vast lake dotted with floating water lilies, while in winter it transforms into a haven for migratory birds from Siberia and Central Asia. Visitors can take a boat ride through the haor, watching flocks of ducks, geese, and waders. The sanctuary is also home to local fishing communities whose stilted houses add to the scenic charm. It's a vital ecosystem and a photographer's dream.
