Taking the elevator to the rooftop passing offices, I had little to no expectations from this restaurant. It wasn't until the view opened up to the smoggy skyline of Dhaka that my jaw dropped. From 26 stories above Dhaka, the view is stunning, and you can barely hear the noisy city from Kamal Attaturk. On a clear day, I am sure the airport can be seen and one can enjoy watching the planes take off and land. There's an indoor sitting arrangement as well.
Have been there twice since it's opened its door to the public in January. The decor, food, taste and service is top notch. They are famous for their steaks (black Angus) but besides that they have an amazing Australian lamb burger (one of its kind) and smoked duck breast. Perfect place for a special dinner with family or friends. Must visit if you are looking for a fine dining experience with an open space.
Okay, Pampas used to be our go to special occasion restaurant. Impeccable service and food worth the price. But, since Covid, they have struggled in both regards. We gave them two chances recently and both were less than stellar. Tonight, first no we don't have Rose by the glass, but apparently later they did. Why they do not have an instant chiller when Publix supermarket does, not certain. Secondly, although the quality and quantity of my lamb chops for $49 was excellent, they were raw. We did inform the manager, but I was not satisfied with his response. I would show you a picture of the meat which was raw although asked for medium rare. Come on Pampas, why aren't you performing to your pre-Covid level? No wonder there are many reservations open on a Saturday night. On the positive side, the live music was impressive and as always, the ambience perfect. We need you in John's Creek. Get a manager who knows how to run a high-level restaurant. I had better lamb on a darn cruise ship for goodness's sake. Will we try again, maybe in another year. So many good choices around Atlanta.
Service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. I have been to Pampas several times over the years and I’m never let down. I have eaten at many other highly rated steakhouses, and I always think I can do just as good or better, not here. I was on a business dinner on this trip and they were attentive without being intrusive. Checked all the boxes.
