Horrible, would not recommend to ANYONE- do not go here! Food was so overpriced (bill came out to over 7k for 3 people) and not worth it at all. The peanut kimchi was too salty, the glasses smelled like fish and the place was unclean. Couldn’t even finish the food, it was that bad. The sashimi was thick and bland, everything felt like a health hazard.
Have been trying their Japanese cuisine for almost 10 years. But the last meal was just not worth it (the price!). Didn’t like the Sushi-kinda dry, the chicken ramen was pretty bland. Only the Sizzling brownie saved the day!
The title describes it. Firstly it’s wrong to call this place Japanese, it’s not even close!! We should have guessed it wouldn’t be good as the restaurant was almost empty on a weekend when no other restaurant would take us in. Yet we came in & guess paid the price & literally paid up a good amount of money for really poor quality food. First dish was a spicy salmon maki which had something seriously wrong with it, strange taste n mouthfeel. Didn’t risk taking in another piece for the fear of being sick. Next came the chicken karage which was like chicken fritters in Ondian style batter, it was the only dish consumed properly not because it was great but it was hot n fried pretty decently despite the batter. Next came the large sashimi platter which was a big let down, only salmon tuna , thinly sliced pieces of not properly defrosted fish. Small portion too. Next was the rainbow maki which had stale fish n lots of mayo to cover up the insipid n stale taste. Good point the servers were smiling n helpful, no comments about the first dish not being good though. & it’s not forget the complimentary boiled peanuts. & the cabbage salad which were both super! 3 people the above food & a couple of beverages, set us back by 8275 tk. Cannot say money well spent!
This is NOT authentic Japanese food. Tempura uses the wrong type of batter for frying. The dipping is served without radish. Yakitori was not grilled, possibly pan fried. They have sushi on the menu but there is no sushi counter/display. We were reluctant to order sushi because of this. On the good side, the service was decent and very polite.
