The White Canary Café

A great spot to sit and enjoy a coffee, especially with the rooftop seating, which is absolutely top-notch. However, the service left much to be desired. Even though the waiters saw us taking our seats, they never offered us a menu—we had to ask for it ourselves. It took several minutes to get the menu, and we even had to track down a waiter to place our order. While the servers were polite and well-behaved, quick bites were not available unless pre-booked, which was disappointing. Could be a much better experience with improved service.

Loved the cozy rooftop with its serene greenery and peaceful ambiance. It’s usually busy so we reserved a table in advance. Interestingly there's no signboard for the cafe, so finding it might be challenging. We tried the Jhura Beef Benedict and the Captain America breakfast platter—both were delicious!

My dear friends hosted my bridal shower at my this serene cafe, and it was absolutely amazing! The ambiance is beautiful and tranquil, perfect for a relaxing afternoon with friends. The afternoon tea set they offer is always a hit, accompanied by delicious pastries that are simply irresistible. I highly recommend trying their floral confetti cake and chicken and mushroom puff - they are a must-try! Overall, it was the best day ever, and I have been back repeatedly. A big shoutout to the service staff who really attentively took care of us that day and every time we have been back!

The White Canary has been gaining increased popularity over the years in the streets of Dhaka city for their very famous 'Desi' and 'Bideshi' multiverse of food items. I myself, have been a regular customer from the start. My go-to order has always been their signature French Toast with strawberries (I believe they have other fruit options as well). The sweetness is just oh-so-perfect! If you do not have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend their Shrimp Pasta or their Tandoori Chicken Waffles! The cross-over for the later is just mind-blowing! They also have a wide range of coffees which includes not only your basic cappuccinos and lattes but Marvel inspired signature ones as well. I like to experiment with ordering a different one each time and till date not a single one has disappointed! The cherry on top for me has always been their Gulshan-2 location beside the park. So if you are looking to hang out with your friends and family in an outdoor setting or are simply looking for a picnic vibe date--this is your place! The staff there are amazing, I find very few restaurants where ALL staff are friendly and caring towards any needs of their customers and this just makes the experience all the more pleasing. Despite living in Sydney with a HUGE range of brunch options, I find myself craving that French Toast on a weekly basis! If you are in Dhaka and haven't tried this place yet--GO TODAY!
