Gulustan Fortress, also known as the Rose Garden Fortress, is a ruined medieval stronghold situated on a steep mountain spur near Shamakhi. Dating back to the 8th–9th centuries, it once guarded the ancient Silk Road. Visitors can explore the remaining stone walls and towers, and from the top, enjoy panoramic vistas of the surrounding valleys and peaks. The site is particularly striking at sunset when the golden light illuminates the rugged landscape. It's a must-visit for history buffs and photographers alike.
