Eiskogel, rising to 2,321 meters, is one of the most striking peaks in the Tennen Mountains, located near Werfen in Austria. Its name, meaning 'ice peak,' hints at the cool, rugged character of this limestone giant. The mountain is renowned among climbers for its demanding routes, including via ferrata sections and steep rock faces. The ascent offers a mix of exposed ridges and breathtaking views of the surrounding alpine landscape. From the summit, hikers can see the Dachstein massif and the Salzach Valley far below.
