Hafnersee

Hafnersee is a small, shallow lake located just a few kilometers from Velden am Wörthersee. Known for its pleasantly warm water temperatures, it is a favorite spot for swimmers and families seeking a quieter alternative to the larger Wörthersee. The lake is surrounded by a grassy sunbathing area and a walking path that loops around the water, offering views of the surrounding hills. There is a small beach with a lifeguard during summer, as well as a kiosk for refreshments. The atmosphere is laid-back, with many visitors spending the day lounging, swimming, or picnicking. The lake's size means it never feels overcrowded, even on warm weekends. Birdlife is also present, with ducks and swans often seen.
