Seefelder Spitze, at 2,220 meters, is a popular hiking destination just above Seefeld in Tirol. The summit offers spectacular views of the surrounding Alps, including the Karwendel range and the Zillertal Alps. Unlike its more challenging neighbor Reither Spitze, Seefelder Spitze is accessible via well-graded trails that are suitable for families and moderately fit hikers. The most common route starts from the Rosshütte cable car station, significantly reducing the elevation gain. From there, a scenic trail leads through alpine pastures and rocky terrain to the summit cross. Along the way, you'll pass the Seefelder Joch, a saddle with a mountain hut serving local cuisine. The summit itself is a broad plateau with benches for resting. Wildflowers bloom in summer, and the air is crisp and fresh. This hike is a perfect half-day excursion combining exercise with stunning scenery.

Don't miss

  • Panoramic summit views with minimal effort via cable car
  • Family-friendly trail with gentle gradients
  • Mountain hut (Seefelder Joch) for food and drinks
