The Memory of Mankind (MOM) is an ambitious long-term time capsule project housed inside the historic Hallstatt salt mine. Visitors descend into the mine to see a ceramic archive chamber where thousands of engraved ceramic tablets, books, and everyday objects are stored, intended to survive for millennia. The experience combines a guided tour of the salt mine with an introduction to the MOM project, showcasing how our civilization's knowledge is being preserved for future generations.
