Hafelekarspitze is the highest point of the Nordkette mountain range above Innsbruck, standing at 2,334 meters (7,657 feet). Reaching the summit is an adventure in itself: visitors take the Hungerburgbahn funicular from Innsbruck to Hungerburg, then transfer to the Nordkettenbahn cable car, which ascends through alpine terrain to the Hafelekar station. From there, a short walk leads to the peak, where a 360-degree panorama unfolds. On clear days, you can see the Inn Valley, the Karwendel and Stubai Alps, and even the Dolomites on the horizon. The area is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, with hiking trails in summer and skiing or snowshoeing in winter. The summit also features a small viewing platform and a mountain hut where you can enjoy refreshments while soaking in the scenery.
