Stratzing is a quiet, picturesque village in the Kremstal wine region, just a short drive from Durnstein. Its main draw is the authentic wine culture: family-run Heurigen (wine taverns) where you can taste local Grüner Veltliner and Riesling directly from the producers. The village itself is compact, with a few winding streets, a small church, and vineyards stretching up the hillsides. Walking through the terraced vineyards offers lovely views of the Kremstal valley. Stratzing lacks major tourist attractions, which is precisely its charm, it's a place to slow down, enjoy a glass of wine, and experience rural Austrian life. The village also has a few marked hiking trails that connect to neighboring wine villages.
