Ahhh Entrecôte, I wanted to love you. As a vegetarian I had high hopes as there is a dedicated vegan menu for 89pp for one entree and main. I ordered the toasted watermelon entree which was tasteless and mushy. For my main, I ordered the tomato and chickpea dish. It presented well but as soon as I bit into it there was a meaty textured part. I double checked with the waiter and she assured me it was not meat, just soy protein, which is an extremely weird texture to put into a vegan dish which was also tasteless and watery. Trying to be polite, I had a few bites and then I felt a hair in my mouth - which I pulled out and placed on the The tasteless texture was too much to bear to continue trying to eat. Entrecôte need to do better and hire a vegetarian or vegan menu consultant and re-do the menu. The service was absolutely terrible too, we waited over half an hour for our second bottle of Chablis which never arrived. The wine list is great and everyone else loved their steaks, but very disappointing for a vegetarian. Good Christmas decor and every time we have been here for a drink it’s been good. Just not the food!
Beautiful place, great service and delicious food. I loved the onion soup, it was creamy and cheesy on top. The steak was on point with French fries and mustard on the side. We enjoyed a pianist playing during our visit. The atmosphere is warm, elegant and romantic. We waited on the bar for our table and the bartenders were so friendly and nice. If you are celebrating something is better to book a table to ensure a spot and enjoy the best areas. Otherwise there are other casual areas to dine in also. They have different menu options for all tastes and preferences. Street Parking is a bit difficult but you can park in a car park nearby the restaurant.
Terrible service food was average worst $450 I have ever spent. I’ll never go back again. If you want a real authentic French experience outstanding food & service go to France Soir the BEST in Melbourne.
The food was not worthy of a french establishment the fish had no tats the bean sauce was overcooked came with it I had the half a cray fish maybe 75 grams of meat and not freshly cooked could not get any meat out of legs $98.00 really they did replace my meal with the Eye Fillet cooked nicely but the pepper sauce was terrible this kitchen has lost its sole quantity instead of quality so many better ones in the area
