One of the hidden Italian gems in Melbourne is also a reflection of why this city's food scene is so great. The owner and host in Andre and the front-of-house staff are lovely. It is a great atmosphere, being able to see the working kitchen. The food is lovely, and there are always great wine selections and food options that are good for a quick bite, a long lunch, or dinner.
Honestly the food here is delicious!🤤 The service is amazing! 🤩 The atmosphere is fantastic! 🥂 We came across The Hardware Club after searching on google and decided to book. We enjoyed it so much the first time we chose to book a table for the following night which would be our last evening in Melbourne. We wanted to take the opportunity to try even more of the menu as the entire experience is incredible! If I were to visit Melbourne again I would definitely go out of my way to come back! The Bone Marrow Toast, Beef Carpaccio, Chilli Crab Pasta, Squid Ink Arancini and Panna Cotta were stand out dishes, but don’t get me wrong everything else we ordered was equally as tasty 🤤 and the Limoncello went down a treat 🍋👌 Thanks to the team at The Hardware Club for a wonderful experience 🥰
Nothing to complain about the food. Great flatbread with garlic (though a little burned), creative and spicy main courses with a twist. But: portions are way too small. Pasta is a cheap product, so why so greedy? At the end of the day we felt we had paid too much and left a little hungry.
While the facilities /atmosphere were pleasant and the service excellent, the menu was limited, the portions small, and the quality marginal We ordered a prawn pasta special of the day but the prawns were served completely diced in 5mmbits such that they were completely unrecognizable and tasteless Maybe others had better luck than we did but we will not go back again!
