Thai Tide is a gem! The food was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. I especially loved the bone marrow fried rice—it was rich and so satisfying. The green mango salad with crispy fried fish was super refreshing, with just the right balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy. The grilled squid was tender and paired perfectly with the green dipping sauce. For dessert, I tried their "Tearamisu," which was an interesting twist on the classic. It had a unique flavor profile that rounded out the meal in a fun and unexpected way—definitely worth a try if you’re up for something different. The service was great—friendly and quick without being overbearing. The vibe of the place is cozy yet lively, making it a great spot for a casual dinner or a catch-up with friends. If you're into elevated Thai food or just looking for something new to try, Thai Tide is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be back for sure!
Cocktails slapped, got mango sticky rice that was very desserty and flavor was on point. Prawns flavor very yum, smelled good tasted good. Bone marrow fried was was fragrant, bone marrows added a bit of sheen and fat to the rice which was nice. Fish was also good, reminded me of long grains fish dish as well. Duck was very well cooked, juicy. Curry was standard, and lastly pork belly was done well very soft and tender and sauce a nice sweet savory soy sauce base.
Was really looking forward to coming here, unfortunately was very disappointed. The service had no soul, which surprised me, and overall either did the restaurant. I don’t mind paying for quality food, but hey, this food did not match the price. The Masamun Curry at $41.80 was a rip off, so was the Papaya Salad at $24.20 and the Pork Collar at $35.20! The servings were miniscule, more like a taster! Having been to Thailand for the last 25 years I have eaten in far better places on the street where the food was much more tastier. Forgot to mention the wine, wow! About $74 for an average Pinot! You can get the same bottle at the Bottle-O for around $15! All I can say is this place is a rip off!
Popped in for dinner with friends and had a very enjoyable dinner. Food was really good. Especially the pork belly which has a fantastic flavour. Nice atmosphere and good service
