The venue was stunning which resulted in a great atmosphere to begin with. The service was good however the waiter was very rushed and overwhelmed which was very apparent. They was lovely on every encounter nevertheless. We enjoyed the limited NYE menu with some highlights being the fresh salad topped with whipped feta, super delicious focaccia and a beef tenderloin cooked to perfection. Some things we would miss in the future is the duck as it was a bit too chewy and the arancini balls which very bland. The drinks and desserts were delightful. Highly recommend the amaretto sour.
We had a wonderful birthday dinner in Luci. The chef’s tasting menu is worth to try. Foods are lovely and delicious especially The Lamb. The service is great. Very detail informations and helpful. We got a birthday surprised by the beautiful servers. Thank you. Excellent decoration and design. Overall is a very good dining experience.
Came down from Sydney after reading up on restaurant options in Melb, AGFG write up on Luci was impressive, food and service was great but the ambiance not so great.
Located adjacent to the Hilton Little Queen Street, we were concerned this restaurant would be just another bland, dull hotel restaurant. It was not. Excellent food coming from a very adept and inventive kitchen. Relatively short menu allows dishes to be perfected. Sommelier is very knowledgeable and helped us select some wonderful wines, especially the ones chosen to accompany dessert. This restaurant is a hidden gem, well worth seeking out. We ended up dining here twice during the week we were in Melbourne. BTW all the fresh pasta is made in-house.
