This has been a staple Chinese restaurant in Melbourne for the longest time and being a family tradition for a solid Chinese. From entrees to main everything is very refined in tastes and feels like your eating clean and keeps you refreshed. Takes away from the more fatty approach to preserve a high quality of taste.
I have had the pleasure to dine at this establishment, not often, but on a number of occasions since it first opened to my recent lunch last week. This spans a good many years. Since my first visit back in the, I think it was in the 1970s, the restaurant has not disappointed me with excellent service, food and ambience. Expensive yes, but you are assured quality in all aspects of your dining experience. The food menu is overwhelming, so we chose a banquet with wine selection. Perfect. I have lived and worked in Hong Kong and have had the opportunity to experience great Asian cuisine. Flower Drum is up there with the best restaurants in the great countries of Hong Kong and Taiwan. Flower Drum is a must go to experience if you appreciate Cantonese cuisine. Yum.
