We had a fun evening at Embla. We sat on the bar and tried lots of different tasty wines, most of them local. Food was superb, we loved everything we ordered. Simple but creative and well cooked.
What a fabulous experience. We had 3 starters of Tiger prawn, soured cucumber and octopus which were brilliant. The artichoke accompanying the octopus was lightly smoked and delicious. For main we shared the sea bass which a had a perfectly charred skin to compliment soft buttery fish. The cocktails were good but definitely food taking the main stage. Ambiance and service also very inviting.
This is an amazing restaurant/bar for a group of friends having a long lunch. The male staff member we had on 6/12/24 was so receptive ,service flowed, food was so flavoursome, wine was excellent. Haven't be to such a relaxed venue that is worth raving about for a long time.
Melbourne at its best. Absolute professional staff serving delicious food and wines in a perfectly fitted out room with a long bar as a highlight. Recommend making a booking and then making the most of the time allocated as tables turn quickly. It’s buzzy and clearly a locals favourite
