Scored a day before reservation for an early dinner to celebrate birthday and Christmas with family in Melbourne before going home to the West. We were looking forward to the duck and it did not disappoint. All the food were delicious. The drinks, especially Old Fashioned, was excellent. We had a great table at the top on Russell St side with fantastic service. The ambience was buzzing with diners enjoying themselves.

I've had the pleasure of experiencing their vibrant atmosphere during lunch, dinner, and supper services, and I can confidently assert that dinner and supper offer a more memorable experience. While the lunch menu does feature some exclusive dishes, including the exquisite beef tartare, it is the dinner service that truly shines. Every dish I've tried was executed flawlessly, leaving a lasting impression. If I had to choose a favorite, it would likely be the delectable burger. Just a word of caution: this mouthwatering delight is only available after 10 PM on the supper menu, making it a special treat for late-night diners. The combination of remarkable ambiance and culinary excellence makes Gimlet a must-visit dining destination in Melbourne.

We came here for our anniversary, and had an ace experience. We had the 90g steak with some sides, and it was very well presented.
