Longrain Melbourne is a stylish dining spot that delivers bold flavors and a memorable atmosphere. Here’s my take on the experience: Food • The dishes were packed with flavor, showcasing the vibrant and aromatic elements of Southeast Asian cuisine. • Portion sizes were on the smaller side, so it’s worth ordering a variety of dishes if dining with a group. • For five people, the total bill came to $300, which reflects the premium quality and the central location, though it may feel a bit pricey given the portions. Ambience • The restaurant’s interior is modern and inviting, perfect for both casual and special occasions. • The lively atmosphere adds to the experience, but it’s not too loud, making it suitable for conversations. Pro Tip • Make a Reservation: Tables fill up quickly, even on a Monday evening. We arrived at 6:30 PM and almost didn’t get a table, which was surprising. Booking in advance is highly recommended to avoid disappointment. In summary, Longrain Melbourne offers delicious food and a great dining environment. It’s a fantastic place to explore unique flavors, but plan ahead and be mindful of portion sizes when ordering.
A nice Thai fusion/ bar style/ fine dining venue with a nice atmosphere for a drink and chat with friends. The Thai food here was quite unique and something you don’t see quite often around Melbourne . The key dish that I really liked was the fried fish. Everything else was good to try but personally a one and done. Glad I came tho :)
We ordered a bundle of dishes and not one disappointed, from the pork hock, the jungle curry the silken tofu. But the absolute highlight was the yum kao tod. It was an absolute masterclass in texture and flavour. The sesame cake was a surprise. I was sceptical but it was delicious and moist.
Haven't been here for 10+ years. But still the same friendly service and great food. Booked online at the last moment and got the early sitting. That suited us just fine. So we got the royal welcome as we turned up as they were opening shrive for that shift. The food I think is really asian fusion and set-up to be shared. Big dishes of food. I had the market fish dish, as always it seems, fish was cooked to perfection.
