Maha delivers a great restaurant experience! Of course great food is the key to great dining, and the food is easily the best I’ve eaten of this cuisine. But add in amazing service, and an atmosphere where you can have a great conversation (thanks to the sound panels on the roof) and decor that brings intimacy and comfort …. They really have thought of everything. An easy 5 stars - and a new benchmark for outstanding dining.
Overall this was a nice experience. If you come in a group, you are limited to a pricey set menu 💸. Cancelling a dinner booking will also set you back a heavy $120 per person. The food was presented well, and had some pretty unique flavours, which were delicious, but some dishes also made me question their worth. The staff were friendly, in particular the Asian lady who looked after our table was great. The venue itself is dark and very well done up with a luxurious interior. ✨
Utterly shocking - especially given this restaurant once had a good reputation. Booking in December was only possible for a shared, set menu at $135. As other reviewers here and elsewhere noted, the things you might really want to eat are actually on a supplementary menu with extra costs attached. On arriving you will be given a short drinks list - minimal to say the least. It will take some time to get the drink. You will be surrounded by other diners who have also signed up for this nonsense. The waiter will describe the set menu in flowing prose and will look disappointed when you don’t order anything from the supplementary menu. The food - such as it is - will arrive in dribs and drabs over a long period of time. It will involve very small portions. The most generous portion will be a piece of bread. You will get a weird frozen chocolate olive if you order the vegan menu. You will also get some lukewarm chickpea dish that feels like it has some cold small cocktail onions in it. One serve for three. Like us, you may decide to leave early after 1 hour 40 minutes having had the equivalent of an amuse bouche at a typical restaurant charging $135 for a set menu. On the plus side, if you complain politely but assertively you won’t pay a penny for the charade you’ve experienced. They will simply wipe the bill. To be honest, they should pay you for your time. And then, like us, you may pop around the corner to Shandong Mama and have home-made dumplings (two kinds) and fresh vegetables and cucumber salad and soft drinks for less than the price of one set menu here.
well, well, looking forward to MaHa for so long 12 courses,10 cold looked like been in fridge all day 2 hot ones probably microwaved crayfish was chewing on plastic bag. The iconic lamb shoulder size of a small girls hand. seemed to be all prepared at a sweat shop across town.Turkish beef dumplings looked like alphabet spaghetti with a hint of beef. Table of 4, 2 drinks each, cost on the long side of $1000.
