We have visited half a dozen times over the years however the most recent visit was the best by far. All of the starters were great but the curries were the highlight of the show - prawn curry and vegetarian curry were amazing. Great service and drinks list, certainly worthy of a 5* review.
Excellent food options - and all with their own individual spicy taste. Staff were exceptionally friendly and the overall vibe was excellent. Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to. And the whole menu is halal which is handy when dining with friends who require such.
Family dinner here. We had visited there other restaurant Coda and had to see if it was as good. And it was. We had a great time. The layout very different as it’s open and very well lit with lovely natural light. The staff were excellent. The food very tasty and well seasoned. Every dish was a deep and rich flavour. So good. Our favourite were the oyster mushrooms and Lamb Rogan Josh. Well done.
There was a lot of hype and I had viewed programs on SBS Food so keen to give it a go. The restaurant is now run by 2 South American chefs we were told with other chefs doing some dishes. We requested half bottle of wine and were pleasantly surprised when a half bottle of our choice of wine was provided , good thinking from the staff to open a full bottle for us. Much appreciated. It would be useful to add how foods are cooked such as saying the oyster mushrooms were deep fried so guests are aware of the dish to be presented as some patrons prefer not to have deep fried food. Black garlic naan was perfect, Rogan josh lacked flavour, seemed like the sauce came from a jar. The lime cake was disappointing - lacked lime flavour (which I adore) and overpowered by the masala in the crumble. Nice layout although a bit too much of the decorative ceiling, not quite necessary in the dining area.
