Govetts Leap Falls is one of the Blue Mountains' most iconic waterfalls, cascading approximately 200 meters into the Grose Valley. The main viewpoint is the easily accessible Govetts Leap Lookout, offering a sweeping panorama of the falls and the surrounding sandstone cliffs. On misty days, rainbows often appear in the spray. For a closer look, the short but steep Govetts Leap Descent track leads to the base, though it requires a return climb. The lookout is a popular spot for photography, especially in the morning light.

Don't miss

  • View the falls from the wheelchair-accessible Govetts Leap Lookout for a classic photo opportunity.
  • Hike the Govetts Leap Descent track to the base of the falls for an up-close experience.
  • Spot rainbows in the mist on sunny afternoons, especially after rain.
