The Coober Pedy Solar Power Station is a 1-megawatt photovoltaic array that supplies a significant portion of the town's electricity. Built in 2011, it was one of the first large-scale solar farms in South Australia. The installation features rows of solar panels stretching across the arid landscape, helping reduce the town's reliance on diesel generators. Visitors can view the solar field from a nearby lookout and learn about its role in providing sustainable power to this remote community.
