The Cairns Court House Complex is a grand sandstone building constructed in 1921, featuring a distinctive clock tower and wide verandas. Today it serves as a cultural hub: the Cairns Museum on the upper floor chronicles the region's Indigenous, colonial, and wartime history through artifacts and photographs, while the lower floor hosts rotating art exhibitions. Visitors can admire the original courtrooms and cells, then relax in the palm-fringed gardens outside.
