Interesting buffet-style restaurant. Select your own dishes, as many or as few as you like, to create your own plate and pay by weight. Food quality was excellent, with plenty of meat, fish, and vegetarian options. There are lots of side dishes and salads to choose from as well. The staff were friendly and helpful, and sitting in the outside area was relaxing and quiet. Recommended!
Lovely concept of selecting your Mediterranean inspired dishes and paying by weight. Dishes were good, lamb shoulder was very good, baked Barra very nice, crumbed eggplant tasty the rest on my plate interesting but no need to have again. Lovely Med atmosphere under bright yellow umbrellas but as most say very expensive for what you get so reserve for a nice lunch out. I imagine the offering changes regularly. Good service but can’t imagine one could dine there regularly at $22.65 for my plate but if you like a variety of flavours in a gorgeous setting then this is the place so eat in for the atmosphere as you won’t pay less for take away. Sat lunch vibe is lovely on a beautiful sunny day you feel a million miles away. Average meal prices about $30 in last 3 pics.
Lovely place for brunch, lovely fruit toast and coffee. Retro vibe and seating inside and outside. Only downside is that we found parking nearby quite limited.
It was almost a full house and the noise level reflected it - background music, tons of chatting, kitchen constantly frying and communicating. I was hoping the popularity was a good sign but I was wrong. Poor service (the warm tiny tea pots arrived after 45mins and we'd almost finished our meals), the waitress sat me inside when I requested outside and I was overcharged for my meal. The french toast was nice, 6/10. The pistachio floss on top looked odd and unattractive, lacking fluff, the base having melted a bit sitting on top of the warm french toast. The crushed pistachios were tasteless and the texture was hidden by the bread. The raspberry coulis and caramalised banana were overwhelmed by the other elements but were very tasty when eaten separately. The nutella was visible (it was oozing light brown out of one side of the nutella sandwich) but I couldn't taste it yet it added a nice creaminess to the texture when biting into the bread. The french toast bread was lovely and perfectly cooked with the ideal amount of egg flavour. The french toast itself was great (10/10). But everything else on the plate didn't quite work. I understand they were trying to lift the humble french toast to the next level but were trying to be too clever and didn't pull it off. Fingers crossed they were just having a bad day.
