The Story Bridge is one of Brisbane's most recognizable landmarks, spanning the Brisbane River between Kangaroo Point and Fortitude Valley. Completed in 1940, this steel cantilever bridge was the longest of its type in Australia at the time. Visitors can walk or cycle across the bridge on the dedicated pedestrian path, enjoying sweeping views of the city skyline, the river, and the surrounding suburbs. The bridge is particularly striking at night when it is illuminated. A unique way to experience the bridge is through the Story Bridge Adventure Climb, which takes you to the top for a 360-degree view of Brisbane. The climb is guided and suitable for most fitness levels, offering a memorable perspective of the city.
