Tsitsernakaberd is the solemn Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex, perched on a hill overlooking Yerevan. The site centers on a 44-meter stele symbolizing the rebirth of the Armenian nation, flanked by twelve slabs representing the lost provinces. An eternal flame burns at the center of a circular memorial, where visitors often leave flowers. The adjacent museum provides a deeply moving account of the events of 1915 through photographs, documents, and personal artifacts. The atmosphere is respectful and contemplative, making it a must-visit for understanding Armenian history.
