The Triple Frontier (Hito Tres Fronteras) is a landmark where the borders of Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay converge along the Iguazú and Paraná rivers. On the Argentine side, a small park features an obelisk painted in Argentina’s colors, with similar markers visible across the water in Brazil and Paraguay. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the rivers and the distant cities of Foz do Iguaçu and Ciudad del Este. The site is popular at sunset, when the sky glows over the meeting of three nations. It’s a quick stop for a photo and a moment to appreciate the geopolitical uniqueness.

Don't miss

  • Stand at the Argentine obelisk and spot the Brazilian and Paraguayan markers across the rivers.
  • Watch the sunset over the confluence of the Iguazú and Paraná rivers.
  • Browse the small craft market for local souvenirs and snacks.
