Parque das Aves is a sprawling bird park and sanctuary located just steps from the Brazilian entrance to Iguazú Falls. It houses hundreds of species of birds, many rescued from illegal trade, in spacious walk-through aviaries that mimic their natural habitats. Visitors can see vibrant macaws, toucans, flamingos, and owls up close, as well as butterflies and caimans. The park emphasizes conservation and education, with informative signs and keeper talks. It’s a perfect complement to a falls visit, offering a different perspective on the region’s avian life.
