Laguna Torre is a striking glacial lake situated at the foot of the iconic Cerro Torre peak in Los Glaciares National Park. The hike to the lake is one of El Chaltén's most popular day treks, winding through lenga forests and open valleys before arriving at a viewpoint overlooking the lake and the towering granite spire. The lake often contains small icebergs calved from the adjacent Torre Glacier, adding to its dramatic beauty. On clear days, the reflection of Cerro Torre in the turquoise water is unforgettable. The trail is moderately challenging and takes about 4–5 hours round trip from town.
