St. John's Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, dominates the skyline of St. John's with its twin towers and pristine white facade. Built in 1845 on the site of earlier churches destroyed by earthquakes, the cathedral is a fine example of baroque architecture adapted for the tropics. Inside, visitors can admire the wooden ceiling, stained glass windows, and the elaborate altar. The churchyard contains historic tombs and a peaceful garden. It remains an active place of worship and a symbol of the island's Anglican heritage.

Don't miss

  • The striking twin-towered white baroque exterior, visible from across the city
  • The intricate stained glass windows depicting biblical scenes
  • The historic churchyard with tombs dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries
